Tottenham have announced that Lloris has just signed a new contract until 2022.

The Frenchman, speaking to Spurs TV, said, “I’m very pleased with this new contract. That’s the way I show my commitment to the club, to my team mates and the gaffer and to show again how much I believe in this project and hopefully the best year is ahead.”

He arrived from Lyon in the summer of 2012, and has been solid in front of goal. He has pulled off some magnificent saves, and this will surely be good news to any Spurs fan.

This new contract is the latest of a run of new Spurs contracts, with Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen also recently signing new contracts or the club.
